Icelandic vintage silver Viking ship pendant – Jón Dalmannsson – .828 silver. A beautifully stylized, vintage silver pendant in the shape of a traditional Viking ship (drakkar). The pendant features refined openwork details and a textured sail that wonderfully captures the wind’s dynamics. This piece is an excellent example of Scandinavian folk art (Mid-Century Modern) and a sought-after collectible. The reverse is fully and clearly stamped with historical Icelandic hallmarks: ICELAND SILVER: Country of origin and design. 828: The silver content (82.8% pure silver), the Scandinavian standard for coin silver at the time. JD Monogram: The official master mark of the renowned Icelandic silversmith Jón Dalmannsson. The pendant is in a nice, authentic vintage condition with a subtle natural patina that adds extra depth to the details.
