Antique bronze writing set with double ink pots – richly decorated

Beautiful and highly decorative bronze writing set, executed in a richly adorned historical style. The set consists of a rectangular writing panel with two original ink pots and a finely worked stand at the rear.

The top features two lockable ink pots with decoratively shaped lids. Centrally there is an elegant cartouche, surrounded by richly worked ornaments and decorative figures. On the sides are openwork handles, while the front is equipped with extensive relief decoration including floral motifs, tendrils and a central medallion.

The whole has a distinct decorative character and fits perfectly within a classical, historic or Napoleon III-inspired interior. The combination of the heavy bronze construction, the detailed relief and the symmetrical design makes this a particularly special object for collectors of antique writing implements and decorative art.
