Collection of seven original Ajax program booklets from the successful European period from 1968 to and including 1973. The programs pertain to home matches at the Olympisch Stadion in Amsterdam.
The lot includes:
Ajax – 1. FC Nürnberg, 2 October 1968
Ajax – Spartak Trnava, semifinal, 13 April 1969
Ajax – Celtic, 10 March 1971
Ajax – Atlético Madrid, 28 April 1971
Ajax – Benfica, semifinal, 5 April 1972
Ajax – Bayern München, 7 March 1973
Ajax – CSKA Sofia, 24 October 1973
The program booklets contain match information, lineups, player photos, articles and advertisements from the period in question. The distinctive covers are illustrated by sports cartoonist Dick Bruijnesteijn.
Condition
Good, used vintage condition. Normal signs of age and use are present, including slight discoloration, spots, creases and edge and corner wear. In the Ajax–Benfica program there are pen markings on the front; these have not been examined or authenticated as signatures. Please view the photos carefully for a full impression of the condition.
