Vintage frame from before 2000, never worn, coming from a corporate stock withdrawal at an optician who ceased activity. It is equipped with new sunglasses lenses, with CE marking. They are presented in excellent condition, with minor signs of preservation.

AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

Condition and authenticity checks are a central element of our activity. Gold and silver jewelry, silverware, watches, signed clothing and accessories are examined according to the characteristics of the individual good and the available documentation.

Any certificates or expert reports are provided when explicitly indicated in the description or can be requested before the offer, agreeing on availability, content and any costs. The Catawiki expert review is separate from our expert activity and does not replace an individual certificate.

Description and photographs document the described item, its accessories and the stated conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of time and use are assessed in relation to the nature, era and condition of the item. Photographs supplement the description without limiting responsibility for inaccurate characteristics or undisclosed defects.

Only accessories and documents expressly indicated are included. The brands mentioned belong to their respective owners; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization of the house.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized with methods compatible with the materials and its condition, then carefully packaged.

Shipping is tracked and insured according to the conditions of the service used. Items may be located in different warehouses: allow roughly 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, special destinations or customs delays. Shipping will take place within the terms provided by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not extend the shipping deadline.

Upon receipt, check the packaging. In case of dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We recommend photographing the package before and after opening and keeping packaging, protective material and label to facilitate any insurance verifications.

The absence of a reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically determine the loss of consumer rights. In consumer sales, transport risk is governed by art. 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS

For any clarification or issue, contact us via the Catawiki order messaging, indicating the lot number and describing what was found.

In case of damage, item not as described or missing content, promptly report the issue also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within 3 days as per the platform procedure, so as to enable the handling of the claim and the possible suspension of payment.

This operative term does not entail waiver of the right of withdrawal or of the legal guarantee under the applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the buyer acts as a consumer and legal requirements exist, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without justification within 14 days from receipt of the goods, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to exceptions provided by law.

The decision must be communicated by explicit declaration to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be returned within 14 days from the withdrawal notification.

For mere change of mind, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law will be reimbursed, including standard delivery costs; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not due.

The refund is made without undue delay and within the legal terms, with the possibility of suspending it until receipt of the goods or proof of return, in accordance with the provisions of the law. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to their respective competences, subject to non-derogable rights.

The buyer is liable for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the good, within the limits of the law.

LEGAL GUARANTEE AND CONFORMITY DEFECTS

In consumer sales the legal conformity guarantee applies as provided by Articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code, also for used goods, considering prior use and contractually declared characteristics.

The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, a possible reduction, never less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable rules.

In the presence of a conformity defect, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where practicable, or reduction of the price or termination of the contract when the prerequisites exist.

Our commercial preference is to resolve valid disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

When the return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us within the terms of the law. Costs for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and the applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM

Before performing repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agreement on the solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original state, compromise verifications and affect liability for damages or defects caused by them.

Automatic refunds for interventions commissioned to third parties are not provided. The buyer's non-derogable rights remain: an unapproved intervention does not by itself determine the loss of protection for defects independent of the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sale document. The original receipt is not the only acceptable means to prove purchase.

EXTRA-UE SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS OBLIGATIONS

For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and clearance fees may apply, according to the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due a second time.

When necessary, tax or identifying data may be required for customs clearance. The passport number will be requested only if actually needed according to applicable rules or the vector's or competent authority's documented instructions.

We invite buyers to check in advance for any import restrictions. For goods subject to particular regimes, including CITES or cultural property regulations, shipping remains subject to the legal possibility of export/import and to the necessary documents.

CLIENT IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In the case of remote sale of precious items subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is performed according to the methods provided by applicable regulations.

If indispensable information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the operation cannot be completed until regularization. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with Catawiki according to applicable law and conditions, without automatic exclusion of liability.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, fiscal, customs purposes and for applicable legal obligations, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only necessary data will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention times.
