Pink Stucco Wall builds an exterior scene dominated by a large pink façade that serves as both background and chromatic axis of the composition. At its center, a blue arch frames a dark door flanked by green shutters and small potted plants. On both sides, large tropical leaves burst into the scene and cast their silhouettes on the wall, while the pool occupies the foreground, partially reflecting the colors of the architecture and the vegetation.

The composition is organized through large color surfaces that simplify the architecture and emphasize its graphic character. The pink, blue, green, and violet establish intense contrasts, while the shadows of the leaves introduce a second vegetal presence on the façade itself. The pool’s reflection disrupts the stability of these planes with freer, more fluid brushstrokes, generating a dialogue between the geometry of the architecture and the movement of the water.

Pink Stucco Wall is part of Mar Legón’s investigation into pools, gardens, and architectures linked to spaces of rest. In this work, the artist deliberately reduces architectural elements to essential shapes and uses color to alter their natural appearance, constructing a place that is recognizable and, at the same time, difficult to pinpoint precisely.

Created entirely by hand in 2026, this unique piece gathers some of the distinctive resources of her recent production: intense colors, synthesized forms, defined contrasts, and a close relationship between architecture, vegetation, light, and water. The absence of human figures and the open door at the center of the composition add a suggestive dimension to the scene, inviting the viewer to imagine what remains outside the frame.

Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on reinterpretation of landscapes, interiors, still lifes, and figurative scenes through a visual language based on color, formal synthesis, and the construction of atmospheres.

Her work transforms spaces and recognizable motifs into images of strong visual intensity, where reality is simplified and reorganized to give rise to scenes that oscillate between memory, imagination, and contemplation.

PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY

The work is offered directly by Mar Legón and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure proper conservation during transport. After payment is confirmed, a maximum of three business days is required to prepare the work before shipping. The delivery time varies by destination, with an estimated period of up to ten business days, depending on the shipping company chosen by the buyer.
