David Law
Contemporary Image Creator – Photographer Artist
Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop-window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later, he was drawn to the singular aesthetic of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, and extended this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate figures acquire a troubling, almost living presence, challenging our relation to illusion and projection.
New Series – Lost Souls
With this series, David Law plunges into stripped-down, dark universes inhabited by suspended phantom silhouettes. These indistinct, almost erased presences wander through strange landscapes where emptiness becomes substance. Through a visual language built with contemporary graphic tools, the artist explores notions of isolation, trace and memory. A silent crossing, at the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Edition & Fabrication
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies plus 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, affixed between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, long-term resistance, color stability and a modern, contemporary rendering.

Since 2014, David Law has participated in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the appointed photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops a writer-artist-musician career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a comic book, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
