Description from the seller
Original oil painting on canvas. Unique work. Canvas entirely handmade. 60 x 60 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate.
A pale blue convertible on the cornice, the Mediterranean in full backdrop, no horizon of architecture. He drives, jaw clenched, eyes on the road. She, silk scarf tied under the chin, looks in the same direction but not at the same thing. Two profiles side by side, a single vanishing line.
The motif is that of the great cinema of the Riviera, but Le Yack removes the intrigue: only the journey remains, the wind, and what each keeps to themselves. Blue dominates everything — bodywork, sea, sky — and holds the canvas together like a single accord.
Smooth, taut treatment on the bodywork, detailed chrome, rosy warmed flesh; the sea is worked in broad horizontal strokes that let the surface breathe.
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method guarantees optimal protection of the work during transport. The buyer can have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their presentation preferences.
