I named this work Vincent. When creating this portrait of Vincent van Gogh, I wanted to capture not only his recognisable appearance, but above all his character and emotional depth. I paid particular attention to the gaze: the vivid green eyes contrast with the warm tones of the face, hair and beard, while the dark background enhances the expression and creates a strong sense of presence.

The painting is executed in a hyperrealistic style, using acrylic on canvas, and measures 55 × 70 cm. I wanted to preserve not only the realism of the image but also the character of original painting, so I created a pronounced relief-like texture with clearly visible brushstrokes. The work is particularly interesting when viewed up close: the texture of the hair, beard, skin and illuminated areas creates additional volume, while different lighting conditions reveal the surface in subtly different ways.
