Yves Decaudan, l'invitation au voyage, an original 2026 acrylic painting on canvas, 80 x 80 cm, in a contemporary style depicting a summer scene, signed by hand, in excellent condition, with a certificate of authenticity directly from the artist's studio.
Description from the seller
Life-scene painting "The Invitation to Travel" - 2026
This contemporary figurative painting stands out for a very synthetic and expressive aesthetic.
The flat areas of bold, saturated colors evoke Fauvism (notably Matisse). The forms are stylized, cut with an almost graphic clarity.
In modern figurative art, details are deliberately simplified; the character's face is not drawn, leaving room for posture and movement.
Mediterranean inspiration, the juxtaposition of the immaculate white of the terrace, the deep blue of the sea, and the red dress recall the Mediterranean light of the Cyclades.
The figure seen from behind, arms open toward the sea, embodies a gesture of welcome, release, and total freedom.
Universal anonymity, seen from behind and without facial features, allows any viewer to identify with it and project their own emotions.
Atmosphere: the work exudes a sense of calm, contemplation and escape, a true invitation to travel and serenity.
Painting by the artist-painter Yves Decaudan - 1954
Painting exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Paris - 2022
Works in numerous private collections across Europe.
Delivered with certificate of authenticity, direct from the studio
