Original oil painting on canvas by Le Yack, titled 'Ce que Daisy n\'a jamais dit - 100% Handmade!', 60 × 60 cm, signed by the artist, 2023, France, original edition, with certificate.
Description from the seller
Original oil painting on canvas. Unique piece. Canvas made entirely by hand. 60 x 60 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate.
Tight-framed portrait through the lowered window of an American sedan. The road speeds by, the blonde hair goes tousled in the wind, a hand covers the mouth — a tiny gesture that can just as well suppress a big laugh as a sob. The gaze, however, does not cut.
That is where the painting plays out: Le Yack marks the precise moment when you don’t yet know whether you will laugh or cry, and leaves it to the viewer to decide. The chrome window frames and the green fields enclose the face like a picture within a picture.
Nourished painting, visible brushwork, impastos on the hair and on the reflections of the bodywork; the greens of the landscape are laid down in quick strokes that intensify the sense of speed..
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method guarantees optimal protection of the artwork during transport. The buyer will be able to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their presentation preferences.
