Catalina Anderle - Between the clouds and the ocean II - XL

Modern, large-format abstract landscapes are created in my studio from a fascination with the fleeting moment, changing light, colors, and moods. It’s something more than paintings – emotions trapped within frames. They are dominated by subtle, pastel colors that bring calm and harmony to interior spaces. Sometimes a saturated color accent draws the eye. The real magic happens, however, when light reaches it – then the golden details come alive, giving the composition noble elegance and a touch of mystery. It is a painterly record of awe at the power of nature and the vastness of space.

Technique: original technique acrylic on canvas 370g/m, thick texture. No wooden frame.
Total canvas dimensions approximately: 100 x 180 cm
Image dimensions / recommended size of the wooden loom approximately: 90 x 170 cm. (Margins 5 cm on each side, partially painted)

Due to the size of the painting, the canvas will be rolled into a tube and shipped in a thick tube and box.

The painting is varnished and protected from external factors.

Colors of the painting may slightly differ from the photos due to individual screen settings and indoor lighting.
The gold reflections in the photos are achieved with appropriate lighting for the painting.
Comparison photos are taken in daylight and with lamp lighting from different directions at varying light intensities.

The appearance and the glare effect of the painting on your wall will depend on your lighting.

Important information about my paintings:
Paintings are often created with expressive, bold, and sometimes seemingly careless brush and spatula strokes. Thick texture, paint specks, irregularities, and obvious brush marks are not defects but form the foundation of this aesthetic and its greatest value. They emphasize the craft and physicality of the creative process in an age of ubiquitous, smoothly digitally generated images. It is precisely these elements that are the “evidence of human presence.”

Damage occurring during transportation:
Please check the condition of the shipment upon delivery. If you notice packaging damage, file a damage report with the courier. Otherwise, there will be no possibility to file a claim with the carrier.

Anderle is a Polish painter, graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
She creates works in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, often with thick paint textures, forming original thematic cycles of paintings, full of light and shadow, color play, and mysterious, atmospheric narratives.
Her paintings are in private collections around the world, including the United States, Japan, Singapore, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
