Medsan presents Fallen Imperial Walker (苔むした帝国の歩行兵器) - UNIQUE WORK, a 40 x 40 cm giclée on canvas, signed by hand and numbered 1/1, created in 2026 in France in a Pop Art style depicting a fallen AT‑AT in a forest setting.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format artwork, Medsan unveils an imperial AT-AT quadruped — the Star Wars war walker, crossed on the plains of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back and then beneath Endor’s canopies — at the bottom of a beech forest in full autumn. The kneeling machine, head down and limbs dislocated, is no longer a weapon but a relief accident. Two tiny hikers, backpacks and a red anorak, pass along the trail without even glancing up: the war is so ancient that it has become a backdrop.
The treatment mimics the look of en plein air oil painting, broad strokes and visible impasto in the foliage, a smoother, grey texture on the armor. The palette contrasts rusts, ochres, and browns of the undergrowth with the acidic greens of the moss that has claimed the fuselage, while the pearl grey of the hull and the powder blue of distant mountains deepen the sense of depth. Strands of light pierce the trunks diagonally, in the Romantic ruin landscape tradition — Hubert Robert, Caspar David Friedrich — and the skies of the Hudson River School. Three birches have grown right on the machine’s back, vines hang from the struts, and the cartouche メドサン signs the lower-right corner.
This work belongs to the series of ruins colonized by nature, and it expresses its essence: the empire falls, the moss remains. The steel colossus designed to crush a world now serves as a tutor to trees and as a landmark for two indifferent walkers. The silence of the undergrowth weighs heavier than any battle.
A contemplative and narrative piece, ideal for adding a touch of melancholic science fiction to a contemporary interior, to an office, or to a collector’s wall attached to cinema’s great icons. The buyer receives a unique giclée print: a pigment print on canvas mounted on a stretcher, hand-signed and numbered 1/1, the world’s only copy.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a genuine production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive inquiry, blending abstract art, brut art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and a distinct identity for each artist.
