The scene alludes to Velázquez’s “The Venus of the Mirror.”
In this version new elements appear: Venus, her partner, an iPhone, a MacBook, and a Rubik’s Cube.
Time’s passage transforms objects and our ways of relating, also changing our reading of the image.
The artist does not intend to explain the work, but to present its elements and allow each viewer to establish their own relationships.
