Portuguese slipware – service « Choux » in maiolica ceramic
Magnificent set in Portuguese slipware representing finely modeled and richly textured cabbage leaves. Made in the great tradition of Portuguese decorative maiolica, this service captivates with its realism, its bright green hues and its remarkable relief work.
The set includes 2 small central bowls shaped like cabbage, with small plates and a decorative serving spoon. Each piece reproduces with finesse the natural veining of the leaves, characteristic of Portuguese productions inspired by the famous nineteenth-century naturalist models.
Very good overall condition. Light traces of use consistent with age. Please carefully consult the photographs which are an integral part, ideal for an elegant camp-table setting, a majolica collection or an interior inspired by traditional dining arts.
