Cake server - Gilt brass, .800 silver - 1850-1900

A good size late 19th century cake server with silver handle and gilt brass blade, measuring circa 29,8cm in length and weighing 119g, the handle repoussé decorated in neoclassical style. Stamped with French assay mark for .800 silver.

Condition: Small bumps to the handle, otherwise good. See pictures for an impression. The cake server comes with its presentation case from the period.
