Peter Donkersloot (born 1959, Arnhem) began his career as a freelance illustrator, but soon decided to follow his passion for painting. He is known for his refined layer-over-layer technique, applying transparent layers of paint that give his work warmth and depth.

His paintings often draw inspiration from classic Hollywood, inviting the viewer to dream and briefly escape reality. In addition to portraits, Donkersloot also creates impressive landscapes and animal portraits, which add character and atmosphere to any space.

Many of his works appear in limited editions, making each piece a special and unique artwork. His art brings both warmth and a touch of fantasy into the home.
