Description from the seller

The Offering
The Offering is a figurative work in contemporary language that represents an intimate and symbolic moment, in which the human figure, nature and birds come together in the same scene.
The composition features a seated woman, surrounded by doves and accompanied by a simple set of fruits. The presence of the birds adds a poetic dimension to the work, evoking ideas of companionship, freedom, peace and connection with the surroundings. The fruit, arranged as a small offering, also introduces a reading linked to generosity, abundance and the act of sharing.
The palette, dominated by cream tones, whites, greens and blues, is accented by coral and orange brushstrokes that outline the contours and add warmth to the scene. The brushwork is deliberately loose and visible, letting the artist’s gesture become part of the composition and giving the work a sense of spontaneity and freshness.
The figures of the doves, especially those in the foreground, create depth and movement, while the relaxed posture of the woman conveys serenity and contemplation. The result is an everyday scene transformed into an image charged with sensitivity and meaning.
The Offering invites us to pause in the beauty of the simple: a gesture of giving, the presence of animals and the calm of a moment shared. A luminous and delicate piece, with a strong pictorial personality and contemporary sensitivity.

R. Serra is a visual artist based in Spain whose practice centers on painting research and the mechanisms of image construction. His training in Plastic Arts, with a specialty in painting, along with further studies in graphic design, shapes a language that places painting in dialogue with the aesthetics and visual logics of digital culture.
His work investigates memory as a process of editing and reconstruction, where lived and imagined memories converge to generate images that question the stability of representation. Through painting, he explores the tensions between presence and absence, experience and fiction, proposing scenes suspended between the intimate and the universal.
During the last decade he has developed an exhibition trajectory that includes group shows in national and international galleries, consolidating his presence in the context of contemporary art.
