Description from the seller
Orange Flowers
Orange Flowers is a contemporary still life in which color becomes the main protagonist. A lush bouquet of roses occupies the center of the composition, accompanied by a bowl of oranges and placed on a table that seems to extend into the viewer's space.
The orange, pink, green, and yellow tones build a warm, bright, and vibrant scene. The flowers, far from seeking a meticulously realistic representation, are constructed with quick, expressive brushstrokes that capture their shape, volume, and, above all, their energy.
The background combines different planes of color and spontaneous strokes that suggest an interior without describing it in full. This compositional freedom allows the painting to retain a sense of immediacy and movement, while everyday objects—the flowers, the fruits, the vase and the table—acquire a nearly theatrical presence.
The contrast between the warm tones of the bouquet and the deeper zones of blue and green provides depth and makes the composition vibrate. Roses and oranges thus celebrate the beauty of the everyday from a contemporary pictorial perspective, where color, matter, and gesture have as much protagonism as the objects themselves.
A joyful, luminous work with strong chromatic force, conceived to convey warmth and vitality through spontaneous and expressive painting.
