2021 Parusso, Bussia - Barolo DOCG - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

Along the road between Castiglione Falletto and Monforte d’Alba you get a beautiful overview of the Bricco Rovella hill, where current owner Marco Parusso and his sister Tiziana produce their classic Barolos. The estate is a mix of small vineyards, acquired over four generations. Thus a patchwork of unique biotopes arose where both nebbiolo, barbera and dolcetto can perfectly ripen. Today the family owns 28 hectares of vines, many of them in highly sought-after ‘cru’ zones such as Bussia, Mariondino and Le Coste-Mosconi. In 2019 the daughter of Tiziana, Giulia, also joined the company. The future is therefore guaranteed. Marco Parusso is a true artist, making wines of unparalleled quality, finesse and elegance. He walks his own path and does not engage in the debate ‘traditional vs. modern’. Marco sees his wines as children, with the tannin of the nebbiolo grape needing to be raised with a firm hand. His famous Barolos are also very recognizable for the smooth structure of the tannins and their accessibility at a young age. Marco and Tiziana do everything possible to express to the maximum the specific terroir expression of the different vineyards in their wines. The Barolo Bussia has a ruby color. Complex bouquet of roses, berries and cedar wood. On the palate a lot of ripe fruit with beautiful, noble tannins that support the whole nicely. Refined finish.
