Bust of the Blessed. Christ of Limpias - Wood paste sculpture with crystal eyes and original aureole - "El Arte Cristiano" Olot, c. 1940 - 1950
Magnificent desk bust representing the Blessed Christ of Limpias, a piece of great devotional and artistic strength, produced in the workshops of the prestigious and world-renowned school of religious imagery "El Arte Cristiano" of Olot.
The sculpture is made using the traditional wood paste technique (Olot paste) on a solid truncated-conical base decoratively imitating marble, with the frontal relief cartouche bearing the inscription "Stmo. Cristo de Limpias". On the back of the piece you can clearly see the original raised workshop seal (die or stamping by punch) guaranteeing its authenticity and origin.
