Contemporary ceramic sculpture Non è un gioco! by Francioni Mastromarino, 2026, Prova d'autore I/IV edition, 18 x 18 x 18 cm, 3 kg, ceramic with iron powder and rice husk; non signed; Italy.
Description from the seller
Our planet is not a soccer ball: the artwork addresses the issue of climate change, delivering a clear message: "The Earth is not a playground ball." This contemporary sculpture, created by the artist couple Francioni Mastromarino, depicts a soccer ball with relief continents, transformed into a globe with small cracks. A symbolic interpretation that fuses two images: the Earth, with the hexagons and pentagons characteristic of a soccer ball, all patinated with a rust effect thanks to the iron powder embedded in the ceramic plaster.
The authors denounce the disrespectful behavior towards climate agreements, just now on the occasion of the World Cup hosted in part by the United States, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the safeguarding of our only planet with superficiality as in a game. Genuine autograph of the authors.
The materials used reflect a concrete commitment to the environment. Eco-sustainable mortars, inspired by bio-building, are mixed with rice husk, a by-product of the rice mills that Francioni Mastromarino have been using for a long time in their works, and which, when mixed with the mortars, ensures the durability of the piece. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates the message of the work: respect for the planet must start from the smallest details.
A sculpture with strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who wish a work of art that makes you reflect on the future of our world.
The sculpture is the result of the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a pair of artists and lovers who have been working together for about 20 years in their Pietrasanta, Tuscany studio.
The chosen materials minimize the pollutant percentage, as does the choice of cardboard scraps as filling for the shipment. The sculpture is carefully packed in a very robust box and shipped by express courier. All of our collectors are very satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging.
With our sculptures we are present in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Romania, United Kingdom, Poland, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, United Arab Emirates, and Italy.
For shipments outside the European Union, the sculpture will be accompanied by a certificate of free export for contemporary artworks, which will be stamped and validated by the Florence Superintendence of Fine Arts export office, part of the Ministry of Culture.
Regarding shipments to Germany, we are registered with the German LUCID registry to guarantee the proper disposal of packaging. We commit to complying with environmental regulations and contributing to reducing environmental impact.
