Description from the seller
Our planet is not a bowling ball: the work addresses the theme of climate change, delivering a clear message: "Earth is not a plaything." This contemporary sculpture, created by the artist duo Francioni Mastromarino, depicts a bowling ball with raised continents, transformed into a globe. A symbolic interpretation that fuses two images: the Earth with the three characteristic holes of a bowling ball.
The authors denounce the arrogant behavior toward climate agreements, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the safeguarding of our only planet with superficiality as if it were a game.
Authentic autograph by the authors.
The materials used reflect a concrete commitment to the environment. Eco-sustainable mortars, inspired by green building, are mixed with rice husk (lolla di riso), a by-product of the rice mill that Francioni Mastromarino have long used in their works, and when mixed with the mortars, ensure the durability of the piece. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates the message of the work: respect for the planet must start from even the smallest details.
A sculpture with a strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who want a work of art that prompts reflection on the future of our world.
The sculpture is the result of the synergy between two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a duo of art and love who have worked together for about 20 years in their studio in Pietrasanta, Tuscany.
The chosen materials minimize the percentage of pollutants, as does the use of cardboard scraps as filling for shipping. The sculpture is carefully packaged in a very sturdy box and shipped via express courier. All of our collectors are highly satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging.
