1980s Space Age design, fully signed and numbered model 40035 - Sweden
An exceptional piece of vintage Swedish mid-century modern/postmodern art glass from the iconic "Moonlanding" series. This sculptural vase was designed by the celebrated glass artist Monica Bäckström for the historic manufacturer Kosta Boda.True to its series name, the vase mimics a dramatic planetary landscape. It features a tall, organically tapered, and subtly asymmetrical neck in a brilliant, fiery orange glass that glows when caught by the light. The lower half features a highly tactile, heavily textured dark coating resembling coarse volcanic rock or moon craters.Authenticity Marks:Sticker: Retains its original factory Kosta Boda Since 1742 clear label near the upper rim.Engraving: Hand-signed and numbered on the underside of the base: “Kosta Boda M.
