Description from the seller

The Bride is a work inspired by Duchamp's homonymous work, the quintessential iconoclast painter and a friend of jokes and symbolic games. My version of The Bride likewise aims to be a humorous commentary on his work, in which he depicted a bride as a mechanical artifact full of springs and, of course, far from human. My Bride is also a complex portrait in which the corporeal and the aesthetic mingle, traversing the boundary between the figurative and the abstract.

Signed on the front, lower left corner. It is sold rolled, without a frame, including certificate of authenticity.

Artistic career, main exhibitions.

The seller and his story:

Spanish figurative painter. Born in Segovia in 1976, self-taught draftsman and painter for many years. He has been exhibiting his work in public venues and national and international art fairs since 2014.

His interests are varied; he conceives painting as a tool for reconnecting with oneself. His creative process has evolved over time; experimentation and the search for new paths, methods and materials are the engine of his trajectory, however one can say that the deconstruction of form and the dialogue with the history of art have been two pillars that have endured and around which he finds the freedom to create and transmit.

This attitude has led him along different avenues throughout his life, trying various formulas and genres such as still life, the representation of personal objects, drawing and painting the human body, or symbolism and the narrative. His main wish is to develop a painting of a personal character that connects with him and in which humor is almost always present.
