An absolutely high-quality, beautiful instrument worthy of preservation! An antique with extraordinary coloration and well-shaped body. The back (rib) is crafted with an exciting patina. Absolutely phenomenal workmanship.
The old instrument comes from an antique dealer in Italy (Udine) and was stored there for decades. Now it should find a new owner.
If you add new strings to the beautiful violin, it becomes functional and playable again. However, a developing crack is visible on the front/top plate in the middle - perfect for a restoration. Age-related signs of wear are naturally present - in keeping with the natural old patina - See pictures.
