Vintage Krupp Silverware – Mid 20th Century

Interesting vintage Krupp Silverware desk ashtray, metal-made and characterized by a sturdy rectangular structure with rounded corners.

The top features two wide, side-by-side trays, separated centrally by the molded supports for cigarettes. A particularly distinctive decoration is formed by the inscriptions “KRUPP” and “ARGENTERIA,” both raised and integrated into the piece’s structure.

Measurements: about 13.5 × 9 cm.

The item shows a beautiful patina of age, with tarnish, darkening, small marks, stains and normal signs of use, clearly documented in the photographs. It has not undergone aggressive polishing, thus preserving the appearance acquired over the years.

The Krupp manufactory is linked to European production of tableware and metal objects; the Italian presence of Arthur Krupp is documented in Milan as early as the first half of the 20th century.

In the absence of further visible hallmarks that would allow precise dating, the piece is prudently offered as circa mid-20th century production, probably the 1940s–1960s.
