Description from the seller
Gerard Boersma is renowned for his paintings of people in museums interacting with iconic masterpieces.
'Met Het Hoofd In De Wolken' (With Head in the Clouds) depicts a woman entirely absorbed in a painting by the Belgian modernist Raoul de Keyser. De Keyser’s work is celebrated for its poetic, understated abstraction—made up of simple shapes, tempered colors, and an intentional blurring of the line between a literal sky and pure geometric abstraction. The woman seems to love it, hence the title 'Met Het Hoofd In De Wolken'.
The work dates from 2026 and is made with acrylic on panel. It is signed on the back and comes with a label from the artist as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.
