Nicole Lubbers - Untamed XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and idiosyncratic approach to art and works with various techniques and materials. In her work, color, movement, expression, and emotion play an important role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation, and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has seen strong growth in recent years. Lubbers was proclaimed Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as a Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been shown and is planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. Additionally, Nicole presents together with artist Michael Lam the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together to form a shared dialogue around movement, color, creativity, and transformation.

Mixed technique – digitally created artwork, hand-painted

This artwork is executed in a mixed technique. The base is a digitally created painting that is printed on canvas and then hand-painted and further finished by Nicole Lubbers. Digital art and traditional painting thus come together in a single artwork.

This specific work contains no relief or sculptural elements. The strength lies in the image composition, the colors, and the combination of the digital base with the hand-painted finish.

Delivery

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a cradled frame. You receive it as a rolled canvas. This gives you the option to decide how you want to present the work after reception. For example, you can have the canvas stretched by a framer on a stretcher frame and, if desired, have it mounted in a frame.

Besides her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker. The artwork is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
