Description from the seller
Ceramic flower-frog vase, Accolay workshop, 1950s-1960s
This sculptural flower-frog vase perfectly embodies the spirit of post-war French ceramics. Its hourglass-shaped, cinched-at-the-base silhouette flares toward a rounded neck and is pierced by multiple circular holes of varying sizes designed to compose airy and structured bouquets.
The flowing glaze in celadon green and turquoise, traversed by brown-gold drips and touches of manganese, testifies to skilled workshop craftsmanship: each piece, unique, reveals glaze nuances and drips characteristic of firing, a signature feature of Accolay production. This organic glaze, somewhere between mineral and vegetal, reflects the mid-20th-century French ceramics taste for free-form shapes and living materials.
Height 14.5 cm Diameter 13 cm
In good condition / Carefully packaged and fast delivery.
