Marc is a Spanish motorcycle racer. He has won nine World Championship titles in three categories: 125cc (2010), Moto2 (2012), and seven times in MotoGP (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2025). He was also Moto2 runner-up in 2011 and third in MotoGP in 2015 and 2024. Between 2013 and 2023 he rode for the Repsol Honda team, with which he accumulated 59 wins and 101 podiums in 169 Grands Prix, making him the most decorated rider for the brand. In 2024 he competed with the Gresini Racing team, alongside his brother Álex Márquez. From 2025 he is part of the official Ducati team, under contract until the 2028 season.

In his first season in the premier class, he won the MotoGP World Championship in 2013 at the age of 20 years and 266 days, becoming the youngest rider to win a premier-class championship in this sport, thus beating Freddie Spencer’s record. He is also the youngest rider in history to be bi-, tri-, tetra-, penta- and hexa-champion of the premier class of motorcycle racing. He is the third rider with the most World Championship wins in history (102); in MotoGP he is the second rider with the most wins (76) not counting sprint races (19), the second rider with the most podiums (129), the rider with the most poles (77), the second rider with the most fastest laps (74), the rider with the most Grand Chelems (12), the rider with the most BMW M Award (8), and he set the record for most wins in a season, winning 13 of 18 races in 2014, corresponding to 72.22%, among other records. He is one of four riders to win three world championships in three different categories, after Mike Hailwood, Phil Read, and Valentino Rossi. Along with Casey Stoner, he is the second rider to debut for Ducati's official team with a victory in his first race, and one of the only ones to win the MotoGP World Championship in his first year with the brand.
