Luca Cartoonist, legally Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. Always passionate about comics (Disney foremost), he graduates in advertising graphics at the Istituto d'arte di Ascoli Piceno and then completes his artistic studies by earning a degree in comics and illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different professional path (though always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art.
He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting them and placing them within current situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today.
He primarily uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed media techniques of print and collage on canvas.
Collaborations since 2021 with several Italian art galleries, including participation in events such as ArtParmaFair, BAF, and some collective exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…)
