About the work:
The artist's works mainly depict men, captured in their intimacy, their vulnerability or their contradictions. Through them, she denounces certain masculine taboos and questions the injunctions.
The artist creates and cuts her stencils herself. She collects old magazines to use their paper for the collage. Each work is unique thanks to this technique. The background is made with acrylic paint. Nothing is digital.
About the artist:
Born in 1986 in La Louvière (Belgium), G. Carta lives and works today in France and Spain. Her art is a quest for identity, deep values, deconstruction and reconstruction. Each work is an invitation to vulnerability, a plunge into her raw and sincere reality.
