Description from the seller
Lune Kintsugi — Inès Rouissi — Abstract acrylic and gold painting on canvas — 50×50cm — 2025 — Unique work
Full description
The day, like the night, Lune Kintsugi reveals a fractured sphere suspended in a field of pure black — its surface divided into quadrants of cool gray, deep teal wave patterns and radiant gold, all connected by veins of shimmering gold pigment in relief. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, where broken objects are repaired with gold rather than hidden, the work transforms division into beauty: the cracks are not defects but the very source of the work’s brilliance.
At its heart, sweeping teal ribbons evoke the movement of water or wind, adding a sense of tranquil motion within this otherwise planetary and motionless form. The first piece of Inès Rouissi’s Kintsugi Collection — an ongoing exploration of beauty found in fracture and repair.
Entirely handmade; this is not a print, and no artificial intelligence was used in its production. Signed by hand on the front by the artist.
Technique: Acrylic and gold pigment on canvas
Year: 2025
Dimensions: 50 × 50 cm
Status: Unique work, piece 1 of the Kintsugi Collection
Certificate of authenticity: Included
Delivery: Shipped flat by default in a reinforced XPS crate with tissue paper or reinforced cotton protection to preserve the integrity of the gold texture in relief — tube is not recommended for this work. Shipping offered via DHL Express, ensuring the safest possible handling during international transit.
Presented by Abstract Art Gallery, Riga, with a lifetime after-sales guarantee (maintenance, restoration, advice).
This work was created directly in the artist’s studio, presented by the Abstract Art Gallery. This creation naturally fits into a contemporary approach today and can be featured in the selections Inspirez-moi, The Best Live from the Studio, Solo Shows and Current Trends: The Rising Artists.
