Cittanova is an oil on canvas cityscape by Ivànyi Fekete (XX), originating from Hungary, in its original edition, measuring 54 by 81 cm.
Description from the seller
Fekete Ivànyi (signed, Hungarian school of the XX century), Cittanova, oil on canvas 54x81 cm.
Pleasant painting, with a rich color palette, by an author who would deserve a deeper study of his identity and painting activity, here well represented by this view, characterized by an undeniable quality of execution, with illustrative aspects certainly picturesque, but also with evident impressionistic influences.
A glimpse is depicted of the current Novigrad in Croatia, indeed Cittanova in Italian, as written under the signature, with a dating falling within one of the two years indicated, 1925 or 1927, in the historical period in which the city was Italian, following the Istrian irredentist events, until the end of World War II.
In good overall condition, no conservation issues are evident: the painting presents itself in its original state, on its original canvas and with the patina of the period; the pigment is well anchored to the support, no critical elements.
Photographs are an integral part of the description.
Careful packaging, traceable shipping.
Costs and delivery times may be higher due to export procedures and/or locations not normally reached by shipping services (especially outside the EU): in these cases I will obtain personalized quotes based on the destination ZIP code and will make sure to inform the buyer of any significant variations from the base cost indicated."
