Icon - Adam and Eva – “The Fall” - Wood

The painting depicts, in a colorful and expressive way, the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, with the Tree of Knowledge and the serpent at the center of the scene. The naïve, folk-art style, the bright colors, and the richly worked wooden frame give the work a very characteristic East European appearance.
