Beautiful pair of antique bookends depicting eagles with outstretched wings, in heavy copper alloy, probably solid brass cast / yellow bronze.

Very fine relief work on the plumage and a beautiful antique gilded patina. The reverse sides show the natural casting irregularities.

Dimensions: 12 cm high × 15 cm wide each.
Total weight: 1.648 kg.

Overall good condition, with patina and light signs of wear consistent with age.


Belle paire de serre-livres anciens représentant des aigles aux ailes déployées, en alliage cuivreux lourd, probablement laiton massif coulé / bronze jaune.

Très beau travail de relief sur le plumage et belle patine dorée ancienne. Les revers présentent les irrégularités naturelles liées à la coulée.

Dimensions : 12 cm de haut × 15 cm de large chacun.
Poids total : 1,648 kg.

Bon état général, avec patine et légères traces d’usage conformes à l’âge.
