Nicolas Lecornet (act.c.1880-1884) - Bust, Buste - 46 cm - Terracotta

Magnificent and expressive late-19th-century bust depicting a young girl wearing a wide, draped hood. The work stands out for the finesse of the facial modeling, the softness of the gaze, and the textured handling of the garment’s folds, signed Nicolas Lecorney.

The piece is in its original condition and retains a beautiful antique patina. We note the presence of a few cracks and a small break/chip is also to report on a fold of the garment (see detailed photos). The whole remains very stable, structurally solid, and exudes an authentic charm.
