Vintage Moroccan artisanal wall mirror with an arch-shaped frame decorated in metal with gilded inserts. The silhouette reproduces the classic architectural form of Moorish arches, or the horseshoe shape, an iconic element of North African portals and palaces. It can be placed on a console or furniture, or hung securely on the wall. The outer part of the frame, brass embossed, is made of hand-worked brass and features small geometric and floral motifs raised in relief. Inlays in camel bone or resin—the sections in bright orange are typical of Moroccan craftsmanship, as seen in Marrakech—traditionally using stained camel bone, but in some cases smooth glazed resin, with riveted round gold-toned metal details.
