Beautifully cut wooden corner console – classic wall console with acanthus motif

Atmospheric and richly worked wooden corner console, crafted with beautiful woodcarving and a warm dark brown patina.

The console has a pronounced classical design with deeply cut leaf and scroll motifs. The vertical decoration runs elegantly downward and gives the whole an appearance of an architectural ornament, inspired by classical capitals and acanthus decorations.

Due to its triangular shape this console is specifically intended to be placed in a corner. On the back there are two metal hanging eyes, so it can be easily attached to both walls of a corner. The top surface offers space for, for example, a statue, vase, candelabrum or other decorative object.

The wood has a beautiful well-used look with visible grain, color variations and signs of use that contribute to its character. In several places there are small cracks due to drying and signs of aging, including near the top edge; see the detail photos. Nevertheless the console looks solid and decorative.

A special interior piece for lovers of classical, country, colonial or historizing interiors.
