Good edition consisting of 60 plates of this work by Leroy, belonging to the great tradition of scientific and instructional works devoted to descriptive geometry, a discipline developed at the end of the 18th century notably from the works of Gaspard Monge and which became in the 19th century an essential teaching for engineers, architects, military, draftsmen and builders -
The Tome II you are presenting, published in 1837 by Dominique Avanzo and company and devoted to the plates, essentially constitutes the graphic complement to the treatise and should be understood in relation to the theoretical explanations and the geometric constructions set out in the text volume -
Its objective is to provide the reader with an accurate representation of spatial geometry problems and the methods for solving them graphically on a plane -

Good internal condition, some stains and humidity marks, work enriched with 60 plates, marbled endpapers in fair condition, good copy -
