Description from the seller
I. Arias is a contemporary artist whose painting practice focuses on exploring the human figure from an introspective and symbolic sensibility, with a particular emphasis on underwater oil painting. Her work has transcended the local realm, forming part of exhibitions and events in different international contexts, with presence in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, Poland, Mexico, as well as in various cities in the United States. Throughout her career, she has been recognized with awards and distinctions that support the solidity of her artistic proposal and her commitment to a coherent and continually evolving visual language. Her work sits at a convergence point between technical and emotional, building images that address the human condition from an intimate perspective, where the body and the environment become vehicles of meaning.
"Serenidad"
Inspired by the series Breathing, Serenity picks up the experience of immersion as a form of disconnection and refuge. Underwater, the noise of the world fades, time seems to stop, and everything reduces to breathing, feeling and being. The work represents that moment when we leave behind the chaos of the surface to find silence, calm and the deep sense of peace that lives beneath the water.
