Description from the seller
Big Bloom
MiLo (1976), Netherlands
A bold floral silhouette unfolds across a softly layered warm neutral background. In Big Bloom, the flower is reduced to its essence: a strong, graphic presence that hovers between abstraction and botanical form.
The contrast between the dark bloom and the light, textured surface gives the work both calm and impact. Its simplicity makes it highly decorative, while the subtle movement in the background adds depth and atmosphere.
A contemporary piece with a minimalist palette and a striking visual presence.
About the artist
MiLo Schepers (1976) is a Dutch contemporary artist based in Amsterdam. His work moves between abstraction and figuration, often combining simplified forms, expressive lines and layered surfaces. Flowers, faces and organic shapes regularly appear in his paintings, translated into bold and contemporary compositions.
Over the years, MiLo’s paintings have found their way to private collections throughout Europe and further abroad, including the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong. His work is characterised by a direct visual language in which colour, line and form are continually reduced, rearranged and reinterpreted.
