Description from the seller
Magnificent antique brass oil lamp hanging, likely from the end of the 19th century or the early 20th century, circa 1890-1920.
This beautiful lamp retains all the charm of old oil luminaires: large circular brass shade, lower reservoir, ornate burner, cylindrical glass chimney, as well as its suspension system with metal rods and chain.
Particularly decorative, it also features at its upper part a small brass bell, an original detail that gives it a lot of character.
The lamp has been redesigned and electrified subsequently, with the presence of a bulb and electrical wires, allowing it to maintain the authentic appearance of an old oil lamp while adapting it for modern lighting use.
The brass shows a lovely antique patina, with traces of oxidation, nuances and signs of use consistent with its age.
These features fully contribute to its charm and authenticity.
A very beautiful decorative piece, ideal in an industrial, rustic, chic country or vintage interior, but also as a striking light fixture in an entryway, dining room, or above a large table.
