Puig Joan Vila (XX) - Paysage

I propose today this second work by (Joan) Vila Puig (1890-1963), a notable figure of Spanish painting in the first part of the 20th century. He was part of the Evolutionists group and, throughout his career, he organized many exhibitions in Granada, Sabadell, Barcelona, Girona and Reus, among other towns.
Vila Puig's landscapes are initially influenced by Corot and Millet. By 1920, critics already consider him an heir of Mir, Rusiñol and Meifrèn; from 1934, his work evolves toward a style closer to the Dutch school. The heart of his work consists of landscapes of the western Vallès, visible at the Sabadell Art Museum.
I offer here a pastoral view (path along a lake) untitled, rendered in a figurative style in oil on canvas.
The work measures 27 cm by 22.5 cm excluding the frame, 36 cm by 31.5 cm including the frame.
It is in very good condition. Signed at the bottom left.
