Sculptural Jack-in-the-Pulpit vase – red/orange art glass – Murano-style
Beautiful large and sculptural hand-blown art glass vase, rendered in intense red and orange glass with a thick layer of clear transparent glass.
The vase has a particularly expressive form with vertical ribs and a spectacular asymmetrical flower-shaped top. One side is pulled up high into an elegant point, a form commonly known as Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
The thick clear glass around the colored core creates a striking optical effect and a lot of depth. Especially in oblique light the red and orange tones come out beautifully.
The design and glassmaking technique are Murano-style and recall Italian art glass from the second half of the 20th century. However, the vase is unsigned and has no original label. It is therefore expressly not attributed as authentic Murano.
