Paolo Desario’s artistic talent, versatile and multifaceted, shines forth powerfully through his works, releasing a tangible vital energy. His inspiration begins with an inner search that bears ancient and primordial echoes, as suggested by the sinuous female torsos and the winged figures.
His large body of work spans a range of themes and experimentation: the most recent pieces draw predominantly from the views of places that surround the artist; marine landscapes and rural snapshots come to life with bold brushstrokes and vivid colors. Moonlit scenes and clear skies catch the observer’s eye thanks to a skillful use of blue, moving from brighter to darker tones with great intensity.

Sculptor and painter, Paolo Desario was born in Barletta, Puglia, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari in the sculpture school of Amerigo Tot. He lives and works in Barletta, has taught Plastic Disciplines at the State Art High School "Sacro Cuore di Cerignola" and at the Art High School of Corato. He boasts an artistic career spanning almost 50 years, dedicating himself to sculpture and painting, and has participated in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions.
