Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was to materialize.

XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the appropriation of contemporary mass-market goods.

His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot Champagne, and caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds.

He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.

He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising and addictions in general.

All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work: it is an empty (gas) fire extinguisher recovered for art, which may show cosmetic flaws visible through the paint. (It is, of course, forbidden to sell a full extinguisher whose standard labels or the pin are missing)
