Between Two Worlds arises from a silent boundary: that moment when light seems to pause before becoming darkness.

The work is built from three clearly differentiated spaces. The upper area, bright and almost ethereal, represents light, openness and possibility. In the center, a band of earth tones introduces matter, transition and the horizon. At the bottom appears a dark, deep mass that provides weight, mystery and depth.

It does not represent a concrete landscape. It is, rather, an emotional interpretation of a threshold: the place where two realities meet without becoming one.

Texture plays an essential role. The worked surface of the central area creates an irregular horizon that seems to transform depending on the light. With warm lighting, the earth tones gain greater expressiveness and intimacy; with cooler or softer light, the dark lower area gains depth and the entire work takes on a more contemplative character.

Between Two Worlds invites you to pause and look beyond what is evident. It speaks of transitions, of what we leave behind and what is yet to come; of that silent space between the two places where everything remains possible.

Presentation and unrolling recommendation

Upon receiving the work, I recommend carefully opening it and unrolling it and letting it rest completely flat before proceeding to mount or display. In this way, the canvas can progressively recover its natural shape after transport.

For its 106 × 87 cm, the work benefits from having sufficient space around it. It works particularly well as a centerpiece on a large wall, in an entrance hall, or above a wooden sideboard.

Lighting can transform its presence notably. Warm light will highlight the earth tones and texture, while neutral or cool lighting will enhance the contrast between the luminous upper area and the lower, deep and mysterious part.

Care

Avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight, as well as overly humid environments and abrupt changes in temperature. To remove dust, use only a very soft and dry method. Do not apply water or cleaning products directly to the work.
