In natural light the Ilite opal presents itself as a clear and delicate crystallization that covers part of the smoky quartz, already creating a pleasant contrast with the darker matrix. It is however under ultraviolet light that the specimen reveals all its peculiarity: the opal lights up with an intense bright green fluorescence, very evident and spectacular, in sharp contrast with the smoky quartz.
