A very fine antique 4/4 violin, labeled Ferdinandus Gagliano filius Nicolai fecit Neap. 1779. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, bushed peg-holes and new strings. The violin has an excellent medium to high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of narrow flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 588 mm and the back 360 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Full size. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping with DHL worldwide
